All of Domain Pest Control’s products are environmentally friendly, family friendly, and vegetation friendly. Though it is best to wait a minimum of 20-30 minutes after treatment to spend a significant amount of time outdoors, we can assure you that all of our treatments are safe.

Yes – there are two different treatments for mosquitoes.

Mosquito misting targets mosquitoes at any stage in the life cycle. That means it will be effective for eggs, larvae, pupa, and adult mosquitoes.

Mosquito fogging, on the other hand, focuses on adult mosquitoes. That means much of the eggs and larvae may go unaffected, making mosquito fogging a less effective preventative solution.

Our pest control professionals will begin by seeking out “hot spots” of mosquito activity. They are winged pests – therefore, areas of density will not be near the ground.

For example, since mosquitoes don’t often hide out in the grass, there is less of a need to focus on that area.

As with most pests, the most foolproof method to eliminate mosquitoes is to rely on professionals. There are, however, a few things you can do to ensure that your mosquito control service lasts:

• Store bought chemical repellent: Chemical repellents that are sold to the general public are not nearly as effective as a professional service, but they can help in a pinch.
• Patching walls, doors, and frames: Additional problems may arise if mosquitoes find their way into your home. Be sure to keep an eye out for any cracks or gaps in the exterior of your home.
• Mosquito netting: Sleeping with your window open at night shouldn’t come with consequences – investing in mosquito netting can prevent those pesky pests from getting into your bedroom.
• Scented candles, oils, and soaps: Certain scents have proven to effectively ward off mosquitoes.

Domain Pest Control’s mosquito service focuses on the outside and perimeter of your home. Spraying indoors can cause issues, as the air flow inside of a building is lower than outdoors. However, perimeter treatments are still an effective preventative measure for indoor mosquito issues.
